MONEY SAVING TIP
I found a great tip the other day at Get Rich Slowly. A reader posted that instead of doing an envelope system for their monthly budget, they have purchased gift cards. Seriously, what a great idea this is! Think about it, if instead of putting a cash amount in the envelope, you purchase gift cards in that amount at the grocery store. You will have the money in the gift cards at the ready for the purchases that you need to make and you can also get the bonus gas discounts. For example Fry's is offering double the fuel points for gift card purchases and on occasion they even offer four times the fuel points. The money set aside each month still is gone when it is gone, but now you get that extra fuel points perk.
