Don't forget to stop by Savingstar.com. If you haven't registered with them still, really you should get on it. Register your store loyalty cards and then click on the items that you would buy. The amount listed is not deducted from your grocery bill but it is is added into an account. When the amount saved adds up to $5, you can cash it in for an Amazon gift card, Paypal, deposit it into your bank account or donate to charity. It is a great way to get a little extra money for things you already do. I save everything just in case. I wont say that I am raking in the extra money, but I have been adding steadily to my account.
There is something about the holidays that make me want to make a yummy breakfast. Now don't get me wrong, because I love a yummy breakfast any time, but during the holidays, it is just that more special, and when that holiday is Christmas...really it is a must. Here are a couple recipes that came my way that I thought I'd share with you.
From Cooking.com check out the link below for delightful pumpkin pancakes. Eggs will be on sale at Safeway on Saturday (88 cents for a dozen - limit of 2), canned pumpkin is very reasonably priced right now, and I imagine you will have lots of the other ingredients on hand. This does call for buttermilk, but you can make buttermilk substitute by adding one teaspoon of lemon juice to a cup of milk. Now on to that recipe link.
