What is Meet Me On Monday? A fabulous blog hop created by Java of Never Growing Old. It is a little way to find out a little more about the bloggers who write the blogs you read by asking five questions. The bloggers answer those questions and link back. It is a way to make some new friends. It is a FAB way to find new blogs. Hope to see you there!
1. Do you like your ice cream in a dish, waffle cone, pretzel cone, sugar cone or cake cone?
2. Do you read the newspaper daily?
3. Marinara or meat sauce?
4. Last time you cried?
5. What word/phrase do you find really annoying?
My Answers:
1. Do you like your ice cream in a dish, waffle cone, pretzel cone, sugar cone or cake cone?
Oh if I only was the type of person who could answer this question with ease. It all depends. IF I am out and about at say an ice cream place like my old fave Newport Creamery (which I went to quite often when I lived back East) I would get a sugar cone IF I were leaving. If I were actually seated, I wouldn't dream of getting an ice cream cone, because if I am sitting at an ice cream shop, I am getting a sundae. This is mainly because I don't really like cones of any kind. I am not that into the taste. They aren't gross to me. I just don't particularly like them. This is not to say I wont eat a cone. I will eat a cone if I get an ice cream cone to go. Eating the cone is really basically cleaning up at that point. But if I am say close to home, I will probably drop the emptied cone off my deck for the javelina or skunks in my backyard to eat.
Now if I do happen to be dining in at an ice cream place and plan to order an ice cream and not a sundae, I will go for the cone. This is because a dish of ice cream looks weird to me when eating out (don't ask). I will eat the cone then as well, because I don't want someone having to toss my cone (wasteful to me). Yes...I am weird. Really I never thought I was weird about eating ice cream until I wrote this.
By the way, if I am at home...I eat ice cream in a bowl. This is because I like to smush it around before I eat it. Yep...weird and something I will only do at home and not at a restaurant because again, then I will either go for a cone or sundae. Bet you wish Java didn't ask this question now. :)
2. Do you read the newspaper daily?
Nope. I do glance at it a little bit when at work. I don't go through the entire paper though. I listen to talk radio to get much of my news and do go to the paper's website.
3. Marinara or meat sauce?
Meat sauce or what my Italian step father called gravy. He said that it was called gravy because you cook it slowly with meat in it. In our house that meant sausage, meatballs, and quite often pork chops or if we were fortunate braciole. YUM! Where was I? And though the pic really doesn't match what I mean by gravy this at least gets the point across. Oh yeah...meat all the way. :)
4. Last time you cried?
Wednesday the 12th. I have been crying a lot because of having to put my cat, Mauser to sleep on January 8th.
5. What word/phrase do you find really annoying?
Nothing really gets to me now. I used to hate "Talk to the hand," but people have finally stopped saying it.
Well...thanks for stopping by. Have an amazing week!

So sorry to hear about your kitty! :(
I am so so sorry about your cat. That's a decision I wish no one ever had to make.
My italian friend also calls it gravy.
Just saying 'Hi' whilst hopping on by.
Waffle cones appear to be very popular!

Hi there,
I am visiting back from TrulySimplyPink I love your answers! So creative! I am so sorry about your cat...You know that I know your pain...I am now following you...
Stay Pink...
We are so sorry about losing your cat. I think having to put down a pet is one of the saddest things ever! I know I cried for about a week (or more) after I had to have my dad's 3 cats put down.
Here's the link to a post I wrote about it: http://karenzemek.blogspot.com/2009/05/sylvesters-last-day-went-out-as-champ.html
Stopping by from MMOM.
So sorry about your cat. We put our down last summer and it was horrible.
I love your ice cream answer. I have stipulations on mine as well.
Oh, I'm so sorry about Mauser. Its never easy having to put down a fur child. When we had to put our Nice Kitty down, I cried for weeks. The only saving grace, is knowing there is no more pain. *hugs*
That has to be the longest explanation about ice cream ever. A gal who knows what she likes and how she likes it and where. You go girl!
I'm glad you started up MMOM again.
I loved your answers and the kitty wanting ice cream is just adorable :-)
By the way I love to smush my ice cream around too -- that's have the fun -- LOL!
I'm really sorry to hear about your cat Mauser -- my condolences. We have a lot of pets including four cats and it's always so hard to lose one -- they are family after all.
Thank you for coming to visit me, I'm really enjoying my visit to your blog!

I'm glad Talk to the hand has finally dropped off too!
I like my ice cream in a bowl and I know what you mean about smooshing it!
I'm sorry about your cat. We just lost our little pom, Missy, in Oct. I still get teary-eyed because she was always under my feet.
Have a good week!
Following you back :)
I loved the cat story from the newspaper. And, yeah, the "talk to the hand" was as annoying as "all that and a bag of chips" that was so popular around the same time. I'm glad we're all past that now!
So sorry about your cat--I understand how you feel. We lost ours a few years ago, and I still think about him and miss him.
I liked the newspaper clipping you used :) Funny, naming a cat "Help."
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you have a great week. Karen
I'm so sorry about your cat. That's so sad. I know how it feels to lose our fur babies :(
Hope you have a good week.

I'm so, so sorry about your fur baby. I can't believe we lost Casey over a month ago and I still find myself looking for or calling her when its time to go outside. They do hold a special place in our hearts don't they.
thanks for becoming a follower of my blog, stopping by to return the favor
I'm so sorry about Mauser, such a lovely cat. I do hope you're ok now.
As for my favorite ice cream, that would be vanilla and mocha! And I also smush it when I'm at home. Hehe! :)
I'm already a follower and thanks for following my new home. :)
Have a nice day!
I'm so sorry to read about your kitty's passing. Hard decision to make and harder to bear. We've had to do that with several pets. Thanks for your visit for MMonM and your thoughtful comments. blessings on your day!
Love that first picture!
Thanks for stopping by.
Now following.
Thanks for stopping by my blog :O) So sorry to hear about your cat, it's so awful to have to make those decisions isn't it? Even though it's the last act of love you can do for them it's so hard.
