Meet Me On Monday - 11/29

It is another fine day to enjoy a little quiz time with the blog hop created by Java of Never Growing Old. In this especially hairy time, this is definitely my time to chill. Come along and join in by clicking on the pic below. :) But hey! Before you do, maybe you can drop a comment by here. :)

Questions:

1. What is your favorite way to eat chicken?
2. Have you decorated for Christmas yet?
3. What is your favorite article of clothing?
4. Do you pay your bills online or write checks the old way?
5. Do you make Christmas cookies?

My Answers:

1. What is your favorite way to eat chicken?

Ahhhh my favorite way to eat chicken. There are so many ways. We eat a lot of chicken. I would say that my favorite way is to make a big green salad, panko bread the chicken, and dip it into a mixture of Frank's hot sauce and a dollup of blue cheese on the side. Sounds so good I am already getting hungry again. Not a good thing at this hour, but I'll go with it.

2. Have you decorated for Christmas yet?

Photobucket

Nope. I barely got myself through Thanksgiving. I will forever admire people who decorate the weekend after their nice Thanksgiving dinner. I don't know how these people have things so together. Myself, I am hoping to get it done next weekend, but don't count on it.

3. What is your favorite article of clothing?

Cats. Pictures, Images and Photos

Last week when I couldn't find a picture that worked for me, I found a picture that made me smile. This is that picture. I actually have a pic of me in my plaid flannel, but it is on my husband's computer, and I am not going to wake him up so I can get it by networking up. Besides if you have seen one plaid shirt, you have basically seen them all. OH GREAT. I just answered the question here. NOT what I meant to do. Pretend I didn't and keep reading.

My favorite article of clothing is a blue plaid flannel shirt I bought at a thrift store when I was in college. I have worn that thing with everything, and amazingly it still is in pretty good shape (there is a little tear on the cuff, that my thumb slips through on occasion but that is it). It is super soft and totally comfy.

4. Do you pay your bills online or write checks the old way?

Photobucket

I write the occasional check. My husband takes care of bill paying online for the most part other than the payment for one car. I know how and what to pay if necessary, but thankfully it is not. I give my husband money and he does the rest.

5. Do you make Christmas cookies?

I love making Christmas cookies, but other than sugar cookies, I don't make them any more. I am a fudge maker during the holidays. When I lived in Rhode Island, I worked for a dental practice and the women in the office would have a cookie exchange. It was THE best!

New follower from blog hop land. Like the above comment about your wedding dress....I think mine would split apart if I put it on now. So don't talk about fudge or I'll get a desire to raid the 'sweet' drawer in the kitchen.I also loved the photo of the cats.

Wow, you can still wear something from your college days? I'm impressed. I'm no where near my college size!

I'm so glad you haven't gotten any of your Christmas decor up yet. Every year I think about those people that use the Thanksgiving holiday to decorate and wish I was that organized but so far, I haven't made it. Maybe when I retire for good???

Fudge is awesome. I bake about six different kinds of cookies. Everyone has their favorite so they are a must. Flannel is the best, we use flannel sheets all year long. Have a great week.

You need to teach us how to make fudge. It's hard to get it right! Either too chalky or some other problem!

Since I made Oreo Chocolate Chip Cheesecake for Thanksgiving, that craving is over and has moved on to the fudge I will be making for Christmas. Big time chocoholic here too!

I've not tried Panko yet, but I keep seeing it on the food tv shows and in recipes online. Gotta try it!

This is my first week doing Java's blog hop . . . it has been fun seeing everyone else's responses. Yours comes the closest to mine so far.

Thank you so much for following my blog . . . I am following you now and look forward to reading more of your blog.

Have an awesome week . . . Gina

Hello thank you for stopping by and commenting on my blog I appreciate it very much.

I love real trees but like you it is very dry here and do not want my house to burn down...it took me all afternoon to put my tree up, the color coded tabs had all fallen off

It's hard to beat a good flannel shirt! I've been known to borrow my hubby's from time to time!

I love to make candy at Christmas, too. Just the word fudge makes me hungry :)

Hi Kalea! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Nice to "meet you" virtually. Can you believe how cold it is here in AZ? Kind of reminds me of the fall back in the Northeast.

Have a wonderful day!

hey there!thanks a bunch for visiting my blog, love that random pic of the cats! chamber of secrets eh! :) thanks for taking interest in the chicken adobo, actually it's a way too simple chicken dish anyone can prepare! its ingredients are just soysauce,vinegar,bay/laurel leaves and pepper and salt to taste.it becomes more tasty when the chicken is fried a bit after being simmered with the ingredients.every region of our country has their own variation of the recipe.till next week on MMOM,have a great day!

I get the fun of paying the bills in our house. I write the checks every month and snail mail those suckers out. Helps me keep track of where the money goes.

I was kind of jealous when I went to my friends house today and she had three (yes three) trees up - one in the foyer, one in the family room, and one in the living room!

It was fun reading your answers. :)

Girl, your comment at my blog today cracked me up!

STOP THAT RUMINATING!! :)

I like chicken parm.

I have my tree and wreath up, but I have more still to do. (My name is Rachel and I'm a Christmasaholic.)

Cute PJs are my favorite clothing.

I pay bills online - "simplify" is the name of my game.

I do make Christmas cookies, but not always from scratch (see motto above). Last weekend we made gingerbread men with the refridgerated dough from Pillsbury.
