Review and GIVEAWAY!!! Revive CD - Chorus of the Saints

Photobucket

Revive is a band from Australia, and they have released their official debut album (I am assuming US debut), and I thought I'd share a little bit. It is called Chorus of the Saints.

Well, now they are located in Georgia, and the album I will be talking about is Chorus of the Saints. First of all, this is a Christian band, and there is a lot of meaning to their songs and lyrics. The lead singer, Dave Hanbury has a wonderful vocal instrument, and the music really is tight.

Here is a little bit about Revive from Revive. This really has everything you need to know and it makes me kind of not necessary, but even still I wanted you to check it out.

If you listen to Christian radio, you may have heard Chorus of the Saints. This is definitely a good first release, but I am really partical to Don't Look Anywhere Else. I really love the lyrics an the tune. Here are the lyrics:

Danger comes with everyday
When we’re working so hard to just get paid
And we lose our way
And we can’t hear him crying
Don’t look anywhere else for life
Don’t look anywhere else for meaning
There’s nowhere else to find
Your peace of mind
Cause I’m all you need
And I’m all yours
We sell our soul to the highest bidder
Then wonder why it won’t get better
We’ve forgotten our Maker
Oh, don’t throw your life away...HEY!
There’s much more than making the day
There is meaning in the Maker
There is life with your Creator
There is peace with your Savior

You can hear it by clicking on this youtube clip...it will not show you anything, but you can hear what I am talking about.

Seriously this is a wonderful upbeat tune, and the lyrics work. Again...yeah this is totally Christian music, and some can take or leave that. I'll take it. I listen to both Christian and secular, but more often than not, if you turn the radio on in my car, you will hear Christian music. If you click on the CD player you will here either Christian music, an 80s compilation CD, or whatever book on CD I am listening to. Right now that would be Drood. But I digress!!!!

Revive has recently been on tour with Third Day, and on their Chorus of the Saints CD you will find "You Know" featuring Third Day lead singer Mac Powell.

Lyrics:

I have so many dreams for my life
I’m going this way and that
I’m spending so much time worrying
About how it’s all turning out

But You know where I’ve been
And You know where I’m going
‘Cause You see all my plans
for what they are
I lay them all down

You keep the sparrow flying in the sky
Why do I question You
The flowers of the field are beautiful
I’m a child in the arms of my Father

So many times You’ve held me near
And brought me through the storm
And You never made me do it on my own
Through broken hearts and broken dreams
My hope in You is strong
There is nothing in my life You haven’t known

Now, before I go, I want to share a song that I am crazy about from their first album. I totally love and I WISH I had this album. It is pretty incredible.

Here is a clip I located on You Tube...

This sounds like a great album... it would definitely be an upgrade from the Veggietales and Kindermusik I have going right now for my 3 year old.

If you were in my car - you would hear Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows right now. Unfortunately I have not been able to find a good Christian radio station in the area!

Never heard of them but sure like what I read. You will hear Southern Gospel most all the time. I am not into anything but gospel music. I do have CDs I play when I don't like the preachers who are boring.

I'd love to win this

I listen to Christian and secular as well, mostly Christian. You'd probably hear Todd Agnew, Casting Crowns, or lately I've been listening to the Twilight soundtrack. :-)

I listened to the clips you had and love them! I would love to win!
